Construction project on Snæbjarnarvegur
The Municipality of Hvalba has been working for some time to sell the area west of Heyggi for residential development. The plan to have Bústaðir build there did not succeed, but the work has continued, and recently, the municipality put three plots of land west of Snæbjarnavegur up for sale.
When the deadline for submitting bids passed, one bid had been received from MTV Construction.
According to the plan, MTV Construction will build between 10 and 12 housing units in three different designs. The construction project will be carried out in two phases, with the first phase expected to begin in 2025.
