Faroe Ship signs contract with MTV Byggivirkið

Faroe Ship signs contract with MTV Byggivirkið for the building of a new warehouse, freezer storage and workshop.

Today, Faroe Ship and MTV Byggivirkið signed an agreement ti build new facilities at Skansabryggjan.

The new buildings will cover a total area of 5,100 square meters, adding to the existing 1,500 square meters in the existing Gráa Pakkhús.

The buildings are expected to be completed in the fall of 2023.

The new facilitis will be connected to the existing Gráa pakkhús (Warehousse) and will replace what is currently knows as Svarta pakkhús. Svarta pakkhús will be taken down as part of the redevelopment of the area on Eystara Bryggja.

The redevelopment of Eystara Bryggja area also includes plans for Faroe Ship to construct a new headquarters in teh same area as the new project.

Mortan Vang, CEO of MTV Byggivirkið, and Bogi P. Nielsen, CEO of Faroe Ship, signed the contract.
